I believe in a collaborative and client-centered approach to therapy, where I work alongside you to understand your unique experiences and tailor our sessions to meet your specific needs. My approach integrates evidence-based practices and holistic strategies, including:

  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT): We’ll explore and challenge unhelpful thought patterns to help you build healthier perspectives and behaviors.
  • Mindfulness-Based Strategies: I’ll guide you in using mindfulness techniques to reduce stress and enhance your emotional resilience.
  • Strengths-Based Interventions: Together, we’ll identify and leverage your strengths to empower you in overcoming obstacles and achieving your goals.

I’m Jen Walbridge, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Bloomington, IL. I’m so glad you’re here and considering taking this step towards finding the support you need. My goal is to help you navigate life’s challenges with compassion and practical strategies that truly make a difference.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): If you’re dealing with trauma or distressing memories, EMDR can help process and integrate these experiences, leading to lasting relief and healing.

  • Polyvagal Theory: I integrate this approach to support the connection between mental and physical health, helping you understand and regulate your body’s responses to stress.

  • Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI): Specializing in TBRI, I support children and families who have experienced trauma. TBRI focuses on building trust and fostering healthy relationships through practical, relational strategies. While TBRI is particularly effective for issues related to attachment and family dynamics, its principles can benefit individuals of all ages.

I’m dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard and understood. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, or just looking to make positive changes in your life, I’m committed to helping you find clarity and build a path forward.
